Opening night demanded legend status, and Paris delivered. Taking the stage for the launch of her 2026–2027 residency, Céline Dion wore an exquisite black mousseline and organza pleated column gown crafted specifically for the occasion by Dior.

Featuring an intricately pleated bustier anchored by a sculptural corolla-effect basque at the waist, the look was breathtaking, austere, and undeniably triumphant. The queen of emotion, wrapped in Parisian elegance.

The Saturday night opener drew a sold-out crowd of over 30,000 spectators to the Paris La Défense Arena, marking her first full-scale concert performance in more than six years. Dion opened the evening with an emotional rendition of “On ne change pas,” backed by Scott Price on piano and a string quartet. The arena saw a high-profile international front row, with attendees including Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Aya Nakamura, and French astronaut Thomas Pesquet. The performance launched a 26-date residency that runs through October 2026 and returns in May 2027.
