Migliori Concorso fotografico Kids-Tokei - Finalisti 2026 Vol. 06 (Parte 2) continued its creative exploration of the legendary Parisian house, turning the spotlight onto one of the most defining pillars of luxury design: the iconic Chanel handbag. In an ongoing collaboration with RUNWAY MAGAZINE, this edition immersed our finalists in the world of structured leather, diamond quilting, and functional elegance. Every piece was intentionally curated and acquired to create an architectural, tactile visual landscape inside the studio.

Under the exacting editorial eye of RUNWAY MAGAZINE, il Bambini-Tokei studios became an arena where historic craftsmanship met the spontaneous, unforced energy of our young finalists.

The Heritage: February 1955 and the Liberation of the Hands

Before Gabrielle Chanel reinvented the handbag, luxury leather goods were rigid, handheld clutches designed for seated posture and decorative leisure. In February 1955, Mademoiselle Chanel upended high society with a single, radical gesture: she gave the handbag a shoulder strap, christening the design after the month and year of its debut—the 2.55.

Tired of holding clutches under her arm or misplacing them, she drew functional inspiration from military satchels, adding a slender, flexible chain strap that allowed women to walk freely with their hands in their pockets. The design was rich with intimate, personal codes:

  • The Diamond Quilting: Inspired by equestrian riding jackets and the stained-glass windows of the Aubazine Abbey where Coco grew up, providing structural volume and resilience.
  • The Burgundy Lining: Echoing the color of the convent uniforms from her youth, designed specifically in contrasting red so items inside could be spotted instantly.
  • The Mademoiselle Lock & Hidden Pocket: A clean, rectangular turn-lock devoid of logos, paired with a discreet interior zip pocket originally conceived to shelter private letters.

The 2.55—later reinterpreted with the interlocking CC turn-lock and woven leather chain by Karl Lagerfeld in the 1980s as the Classic Flap—was never just an accessory. It was an instrument of autonomy, engineered to move with the body rather than hold it hostage.

The Next Generation Wields the Icon

Finalists traveled from the fashion capitals of Tokyo, Parigi, Milano, Dubai, New York, and beyond, bringing distinct energy and cultural perspectives to the set. From toddlers clutching miniature vanity cases to teens wearing oversized flaps with modern nonchalance, the competition erased conventional boundaries.

The pairing was striking. Placing a bag born from mid-century feminist utility into the hands of the next generation highlighted the design’s timeless versatility. Chanel’s quilted leather did not impose an adult stiffness onto the children; instead, the children lent the bags a fresh, effortless dynamism.

Editorial Direction: Craft, Motion, and Authenticity

Sotto RUNWAY RIVISTE editorial lens, the photo sessions prioritized motion over stillness. The focus remained squarely on how each child interacted naturally with the pieces:

  • Tactile Discovery: Documenting the uncurated curiosity of small hands feeling supple lambskin and metal chains.
  • Effortless Poise: Capturing that instinctive, easy confidence that emerges when classic design is worn without pretense.
  • Geometria pulita: Framing each subject against balanced, minimalist backdrops that allowed the interplay of quilted leather and natural personality to shine.

Attraverso RUNWAY RIVISTE international platform, these images travel worldwide, presenting high-end leather craftsmanship through an authentic, forward-looking lens.

Where Heritage Meets Tomorrow

Migliori Concorso fotografico Kids-Tokei Finalisti 2026 – Chanel Vol. 06 (Parte 2) completed the house’s visual story. By bridging the pragmatic genius of 1955 with the pure imagination of youth, this edition proved that true luxury is not a relic to be preserved in glass, but a legacy meant to be worn, lived in, and carried forward.

Una nuova generazione ne ha portato con sé l'eredità.

Una nuova generazione l'ha reinventata.

E la storia continua.
